Early works for B140 are starting

Early works for Building 140 are now underway. This initial phase includes the diversion of existing utility networks and the installation of new networks to serve the future building. Carrying out these works in advance will facilitate the main construction works and help ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

Managing Traffic Safely

To ensure the safety and convenience of everyone on site, temporary traffic management measures and signage will be put in place throughout the works. These measures are designed to guide pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles safely around the work areas.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these essential works are carried out.

What’s Happening Now?

These preliminary works will take place from 17 August 2026 to 18 December 2026.

To maintain traffic throughout the works, Route Bakker will first be temporarily widened. This arrangement will ensure that one traffic lane remains open at all times, together with a safe pedestrian route.

The traffic management plan for August 2026 is shown below. For details of the traffic arrangements throughout the full duration of the works, please refer to the plans available here.

Looking Ahead

Following the completion of these utility works, the next phase of preliminary works is scheduled for Q1 2027. This phase will include the demolition of Building 25 and the remaining slab of the previously demolished Building 102.

The main construction works for Building 140 are expected to begin in mid-2027, following the completion of the preliminary works.

Regular updates will be provided as the project progresses. Thank you for your understanding and support as we deliver this important new facility.
